international examination is the largest provider of international education
programs and qualification for 5 to 19 years olds
And part of the University of Cambridge. Cambridge qualifications
are taken in 150 countries and recognize by educational institutions all over
the world
Cambridge checkpoint test are designed to asses
student at the end of Cambridge secondary school. The subject areas for the
checkpoint exams includes
English, mathematics and sciences.
Who is it for?
Cambridge checkpoint is an
internationally recognized program for school children between the age of 5 and
19 years, that’s is learners in jss2 and jss3 preparing for senior secondary school
The aim of this is to asses’ student strength and
weakness in these subject areas so as to have a better understanding of the
career path to be chosen.

The checkpoint exam papers are marked in the UK by
CIE
At the end of the test, each learner receives a
feedback report; giving the school detailed information as well as trusted
information to the parents
The feedback report enables teachers to
1. Tailor
individual learning programmes
2 .monitor groups and individual performance
3. Predict performances
in student’s formal education
The feedback report also measures a student’s performance
based on
The curriculum framework.
Their teaching group.
A whole school report and more.
Student report gives a score for the entire test,
A score for each topic/ skill,
A list of subject where a student’s weakness or
strength lies,
And also a statement of achievement.
With the above reports comes the teaching report
which is 90% duplicate of the learner/students report but with a difference of
marks scored by learners on each question.
And lastly, the school report and the end of session
report giving various information about the school and each session
administered by the school
Test dates
Cambridge checkpoint exams are held twice yearly
