- Oracle Certified Java Professional (previously known as Sun certified Java Professional): This
Java language certification is the elephant in room. It is one of the
most recognised certification in around. Since most of the world software industry
is largely a development based industry rather than R&D based,
therefore Java is in great demand.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer: This
certification is actually a combination of three sub certifications.
When you clear this certification you prove your expertise in Microsoft
technologies. It is also in great demand because most of the business
computers use Microsoft software.
- Oracle Database Certification:
Where as the above two are developer certifications this is a database
certification. Oracle offers a host of database certification but Oracle
database administrator stands above the rest. You must have deep
knowledge of SQL language to clear this exam.
- Brainbench test on Software Testing:
Very few companies offer a general certification on software testing
and Brainbench is one of them. If you have an interest in software
testing then this is a certification for you.
- CCNA Routing and Switching:
Cisco is the world leader in networking solutions and a routing and
switching certification by it has a lot of value. But keep in mind that
this certification is valid for only three years from the date of exam.
Therefore timing of the certification is paramount.
